    FAM Construction, LLC. is a joint venture company between Ferrovial Agroman US Corp. and Allan Myers, VA. Allan Myers is the largest heavy civil construction company and materials provider in the Mid-Atlantic with a workforce of more than 2,500. FAM has been awarded the Transform I-66 Outside the Beltway project, 22.5 miles of multi-modal improvements to the I-66 corridor from I-495 in Fairfax County, VA to University Boulevard in Prince William County, VA. The project features two express lanes alongside three regular lanes in each direction, with space in the median for future transit; corridor-wide bike and pedestrian improvements; and safety and operational improvements at key interchanges throughout the corridor. Construction began in late 2017; anticipated completion in summer 2022.

    The Recruiter will identify, select and hire campus, craft and experienced professionals to fill positions in the Fairfax, VA. office of FAM.  The Recruiter will be a key member of a collaborative team of recruiters, recruiting coordinators and analysts as well as regional Human Resource Managers located throughout our offices.  The Recruiter will lead talent acquisition efforts and manage all aspects of the recruitment life-cycle.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Collaborating and partnering with hiring managers, some at the executive level, to effectively define staffing & hiring needs. 
    • Developing in depth relationships with leaders to understand not only the technical needs, but the intangible competencies and traits that make a good fit, and strong performer on a specific team. 
    • Developing and implementing a position-specific targeted search strategy to identify and source candidates. 
    • Developing and implementing targeted campus approach for key positions, key locations including a tiered approach to which schools to work with.
    • Preparing recruitment advertising & postings that utilizes the latest recruitment marketing concepts including search engine optimization, iCims technology, and social media.
    • Managing candidate relationships with a strong emphasis on building long-term relationships and pipelines.
    • Building relationships with leaders, hiring managers and HR Manager to become a valued resource and trusted advisor to achieve business objectives.
    • Interviewing applicants and selecting top talent with a focus on the quality of hires. 
    • Preparing written and verbal candidate presentation documents.
    • Managing the interview scheduling and pre-employment processes to include background checks, testing and offer process.
    • Assisting with the development and implementation of the company-wide recruitment strategy.
    • Manage and coordinate internal transfer interviewing and hiring process.

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED SKILLS: 

    • Recent recruiting experience required, with a focus on corporate and campus recruitment; a mix of high-volume candidate processing and direct sourcing experience highly preferred. 
    • 5+ years’ experience as a corporate or agency recruiter.
    • Previous experience in Construction or other craft driven industry highly desired.
    • Experience working closely with a decentralized HR team and managing all aspects of the recruitment life cycle with a passion for recruiting.
    • A focus on establishing long term relationships and skilled at identifying top talent to fill current and strategic needs.
    • Business acumen with strong organizational skills, a sense of urgency and a commitment to quality.
    • Experience strategically using social media tools.
    • Expert in full life cycle recruiting for both campus and experienced salary.
    • Direct sourcing experience required.
    • Ability to work well in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
    • Must exhibit excellent written/verbal communication and exceptional customer service skills
    • Demonstrates a high level of energy, enthusiasm and passion for recruiting
    • Proven client service focus, with an ability to resolve issues quickly, with integrity, sound judgment and a sense of urgency.
    • Ability to work outside of the core business hours when necessary
