  • Responsibilities

    This position reports to the General Manager of Aggregates. Under general direction, performs varied, sensitive and confidential administrative support for the General Manager of Aggregates; and performs general sales support for the Aggregate Division. This position will include but is not limited to the following responsibilities:

     

     

    Administrative Support

    • Provides administrative support to the General Manager of Aggregates
    • Coordinates sales initiatives with other departments to ensure a customer-centric work environment
    • Prepares correspondence, documents and reports often of a sensitive and confidential nature
    • Schedules, prepares agenda, meeting materials and minutes for various meetings.
    • Maintains the General Manager’s calendars; coordinates, arranges and confirms meetings.

     

    Sales Related Support

    • Provide support for the quoting of external customer and internal projects
    • Maintain/Update/Distribute daily, weekly and monthly sales reports
    • Review customer credit applications for accuracy and forward to Credit Department
    • Review/Approve/Process billing discrepancies
    • Quote all internal projects, proactively work with internal construction to forecast material needs, and maintain an accurate internal backlog
    • Review monthly sales forecasts with Sales Managers and update monthly reports
    • Prepare Monthly Aggregate Backlogs and Forecast reports
    • Coordinate the bidding of large internal and external projects

    Qualifications

    Competencies required for the position:

     

    • Proficient with web presentation tools
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong listening and presentation skills
    • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently
    • Excellent Customer Service Skills and the ability to work under critical time deadlines

     

    Work Environment:

    Primarily in professional office environment however some daily travel may be required using a personal vehicle

     

      

    Required Education and Experience:

    • Undergraduate degree is preferred or at least 3 years of experience in construction materials sales. Strong business math skills required including volumetric and yield calculations.
